A collaborative effort between EIE2 and Laschal, this needle holder was designed by Dr. Carr to accommodate a traditional nose-forward grip. Key design modifications include a reduced length of 6 inches and a shift from a Castro lock to an L-Lock, positioned closer to the tip. This allows users to maintain a nose-forward grip while locking and unlocking the instrument without adjusting their grip. Retaining all original Laschal features, it securely grasps needles of any size without spreading, is lighter than titanium, and resistant to breaking, loosening, rusting, and spreading. Its seamless design prevents sutures from getting caught.
